Sam fell off his bicycle when we were cycling from our place to his friend's place for BBQ on Friday nite.
He had a box of 20 glass bottled Stella Artois in his haversack and a bag of prawn crackers on his right hand. He was cycling with only 1 hand on the bicycle in order to keep the crackers away from the front wheel when he deciding to change the gear (wrong move!!!). Lost control and fell on the right but amazing because he wanted to protect the prawn cracker, he turn and used his left elbow to break his fell. Ouuuuch!!
I was cycling behind him all this while but managed to avoid him when I saw the fell. He still managed to stood up and had some bruises on his left elbow and left legs. Then he realise something leaking from his back... Oh shit, the Stella!!!
Open the bag and found that it was 'flooded'. A quick check shows that there were 18 remaining, not too bad to have 18 left. The bag of prawn crackers looks alright too.
There weren't any open wounds but I guess he definitely will have blue black (I'm talking about BIG ones). Walked back to our place and decided to drive to his friend's place cos he's not in the condition to cycle. He felt pain on his left elbow but thought it's normal. We decide to wait and see until Sat if there's a need to go A&E (no GP open on weekends).
Throughout the nite, he felt worst but dare not wake me up cos I'm suppose to have driving lesson at 8am that morning. What a sweet thing to do..... Finally we woke up at about 6.30am and he decide to go A&E before it gets too crowded. I drove him there with my 'L' sticker on and called my driving instructor to pick me up from the hospital (within Cambridge city) instead but no one answer the phone. By 8.30am, I gave up trying to call the instructor.
Sam's x-ray result shows that there was a crack in the bone but it will heal itself (takes up to 2 months) and was given a sling for resting his hand, no other medicine given. We should have enough painkillers at home for him thought.
Called BSM and was told that unless the instructor say otherwise, I would still have to paid for the 2 hours lesson cos I didn't inform them earlier. Double standard people!!! Talking about them makes my heart boils. Think twice about going back to BSM if I fail my test this Monday.
Will try to get a pic of Sam in his sling and post it if he let me to.
