Washing machine
This is the first washing machine in my life. Back in Singapore, my parents don't own a washing machine, we handwash all our own clothes. Somehow since I stayed in UK, I grew to the luxury of a washing machine, however all the places I stayed previously had common laundry area and I always longed for a washing machine of my own (no need to wait in the common area or afraid that others might take my clothes if I'm not there in time). Finally, the day had arrived, my first even washing machine! I spent sometime today figuring out how to operate the washing machine. Rather easy but because the floor isn't level (or we didn't level the washing machine properly), the machine vibrated and moved around when it's on spin cycle. Hope the downstair neighbour can't hear it! Maybe we need to buy some foot pad for the machine.
Update on 19/4/07 : Checked with downstair neighbour and he assured me that he can't hear a thing. Great!

Excited about the new flat
Next week this time, we will be living at the new flat! We had been to the new flat to take measurements and been to Ikea to shortlist the items needed. Will obtain the keys on Friday and had booked a van to move everything over next weekend. Can't wait to move!
Note : Might not blog for sometime as the Virgin enginner will only be able to come on 17 April to install.

30th Birthday Has New Meaning
Inside: 1. Denial. 2. Denial.
3. Denial. 4. Denial.
5. Denial. 6. Denial. 7. Denial.
Hallmark have this article about turning 30 and it can't be more true.
Well, I'm going to accept that fact that I'm 30 today and stop moaning about it. Happy Birthday to myself today! Took leave from work and I'm going to spend my day playing wiipy and dinner with Sam tonight at Maharajah.
PS : Received an e-card from my brother who also conveniently reminded me that Singapore Immigration had not forgot about me turning 30 (need to re-register your IC)!

"Thirty is the age at which a person realizes that time is limited, that the clock is ticking. In youth, the perception is that 'all things are possible,' but 30 signals a new realization."
