Finally got a chance to visit Wales on Wed and Thurs. Was only able to visit Cardiff and stay in Newport, but I'm happy that I 'ticked a box'.

Booked a B&B (Hazel Court) in Newport and it was in a village with spectacular view. Impressive, best B&B we had been so far and it was only 50 pounds for both of us (including full English breakfast)

Of course we also visit a pub in Wales and tried their beer.

Oakley sunglasses


Really love this pair of sunglasses (Oakley Ducati Juliet) so had requested Vision Express to order a pair from Oakley for me in August 06 (ordered just for trying, no deposit needed).

A few days later, after the salesperson managed to order the sunglasses, she called to say that the price is 125 pounds...... I thought the price is 250 pounds??? Maybe I heard wrongly....

Finally the salesperson called this week to say that the sunglasses is here and I can pop down to their branch to try.




I bought it for 125 pounds including the case!! Great bargain!! The salesperson mentioned that she told me the price is 125 pounds (due to wrong info from Oakley), thus she have to honour it and sell it to me at 125 pounds. The case which normally cost about 30 pounds is free as a gift since I waited a month for the sunglasses.



I have to comment on the great service from Vision Express. The salesperson are very friendly and polite. Eventhought I only ordered the sunglasses for trying (no commitment to buy), she treated us as potential customer and given us full attention. Highly recommended for Vision Express.

BTW, I decided to keep the phone too!

Saw a good deal on O2 website on Wednesday and can't resist not buying.

The goods arrived today which include the followings:-
- 1 Motorola V3im (including 512 micro SD)
- O2 Sim card Pay as you Go (For Jaster)
- 1 ITech Arrow Bluetooth Headset
- 3 X 15 pounds HMV online vouchers

All these cost me 119.99 pounds. Great bargain cos the Motorola V3im is already selling on ebay for more than 120 pounds.

O2 is no longer selling this phone as a PAYG since Thursday (1 day after I bought mine). I was worried that I'm not going to get mine cos they might had realised that they make a mistake as to the pricing (very cheap for such a phone on O2). Oh well, now I got my phone, I'm very tempted to keep the phone as I love the colour (actual colour as picture above) of the phone but I don't really need another new phone, do I??

My colleague recommend me this website - www.pardora.com. You type in your favorite artist/ song and it creates a station for similar type of songs.

Car Mileage

How much mileage had we clock since parents were here for the 2 weeks?? Approx 1,700 miles!!! In 2 weeks!!!

+ other trips to Tesco, etc.

Fond memories of Guildford.

Used to walk up and down this path every day from Uni of Surrey to train station & return to work in London. I was slimmer then due to the exercise (fast walking to train station, running to catch the train/ tube, walking up/ down the escalator and climbing up the slope to Uni).

Now we have car in Cambridge, too lazy to even walk to Tesco!
