32rd Cambridge Beers Festival

Waiting for a pint

A perfect day for a pint

Something to remember by..

Just got back from the Beerfest. I'm very tired now but still need to wait for my hair to dry before sleeping so might as well update this blog.

So what did we have??

Jet Black 3.7%
Chocolate roast mild, and mellow taste with hints of nuts and roast barley.

Peachy Ale 4.5%
Light/ staw coloured beerr, with peach notes throughout and a sweet finish.

JJ Lemon Ale 5%
Interesting beer with obvious citrus notes, and hop flavours to the fore throughout.

Dragonhead Stout 4%
Strong dark malty chocolate aroma, full of flavour and with a dry finish.

Explorer 4.3%
Seasonal beer launched for the first time in 2004. A hoppy bitter with a dry finish.

Peat Porter 4.5%
Initial fruit taste, leading to a roast malt taste, slightly sweet finish

Some cherry beer that Sam order which both of us DON'T fancy and can't remember what it was.

Which one do I like?? huh?? Think I like Jet Black among the above. Sam can't decide between JJ Lemon Ale and Explorer.

Will definitely make it the next Beerfest if we are still in Cambridge.
