Kua
The one thing I was most worried about is whether I can fit into the Kua I ordered. Was overjoyed that it fit perfectly when I tried it on a few days before the wedding!!

We rented the kua from The Red Redding which comes with a free rental of Tang Jacket. Surprisingly, Sam was willing to wear the Tang jacket, although he was abit embarrassed to be seen walking about in that at Goodwood Park Hotel for the wedding pictures.

Janet who runs The Red Wedding is very helpful, response from her via email was quick and she even have another kua for me to try on on the day we visit. Highly recommended.
Wine

Sam and I prefer white wine to red but it seems that red wine is the preferred wine for wedding dinner, thus red wine it is then. However both Sam & I have no clue which red wine to buy, bought a few to test and we decided on Carlo Rossi Red based on Serene and Sam's dad recommendation (thanks). Bought a total of 15 bottles from Giant Parkway Parade. Was worried about wine not being enough for 7 tables, but decided to stick to 15 bottles eventually.

On the wedding day, we were also given 3 bottle of white wine and 3 bottles of sparkling white. Great as we didn't even buy any white wine!! After the wedding, we still have left 1 red and 1 sparkling to bring home.
Wedding Favours

We ordered the wedding favours and guest book from www.weddingfavours.com.sg. Each favour was to be filled with chocolate eggs but we paid extra and changed it to Hershey's kisses. The wedding favours were individually packed and delivered on time.

PS : Was too busy on the wedding day, forgot to take our own wedding favours or eat any of the Hershey's kisses. Gutted!!
Wedding cake

Decided to get our wedding cake from Pine Garden and confirmed on Lychee Martini after we bought a slice of the cake once we arrived in Singapore. Best choice ever as the guest commented that the cake was really good!!

As for the design, we sent Pine Garden a picture of the wedding cake which I found on the internet (as seen in my earlier post) and requested Pine Garden to change the colour of the flowers to deep red.

Pine Garden do provide cake cutting instructions but it looks complicated, thus we leave it to the restaurant to cut it in their own way. The cake was 2-tier but we managed to feed 70 guests and had about 3 large quarter leftover, which we gladly brought home.

Even though the cake was expensive, costing $420, it was worth it as we didn't want a dummy cake.

Catering
We booked the mini buffet for 15 person from Neogarden for the wedding lunch at my parents-in-law's place. Dishes we ordered were :-

1. Vegetarian Mee Hoon
2. Braised Beancurd
3. Sambal Fish Ball
4. Lemon Chicken
5. Steamed Siew Mai
6. Mini Chocolate Eclair
7. Sotong Yu Tiao
8. Almond Jelly Longgan

Each dish was packed in a plastic container and the food were still warm when it arrives.

As both Sam & I were busy changing into another outfit, chatting to guests and phototaking, thus we didn't manage to eat much of the food. Eventhough there were more than 15 person for the wedding lunch, there were still leftover for us as breakfast the next morning. The Mee Hoon was delicious!

PS : Was sooooo hungry by about 3pm at hotel room that I decide to walk to Far East Plaza and bought us a 3 piece meal from KFC...yummy.....
Wedding carIt's been more than a month after the wedding, I decided to post some entries and review on our wedding stuffs, so here's the first one.

The wedding car belongs to my brother and of course, he's the driver and one of the brothers.
'Sisters and Brothers' cars are as follows :-
- Serene's parents car with Serene as the driver
- TSW's car with TSW as the driver
- Father's friend's car with Jaster as the driver

Thanks to the above for making the cars available to us, we on the other hand didn't forget the 'Ang Bao'.

Snow

I'm glad it only snow after we are back in UK, I love snow!!! The snow on Monday result in major transport disruption, thus I made the wise choice to work from home for Monday & Tuesday. Sam had to get into work on Monday morning but was home earlier to work from home for the rest of the day & Tuesday.

We managed to go out and play with the snow on Monday. The snow was about 4 inches, enough for us to play snowballs and built our pathetic snowman.

Our flight experience on A380

As previously mentioned, for our flight to and from Singapore, we were travelling via SQ on A380.

For the trip from UK to Singapore, we managed to get the emergency exit seats, so we got alot of leg room. The seats on A380 are defintely roomier and the LCD screen are larger (however it's seems to be too bright even though I had reduced it to the lowest).

For the trip from Singapore to UK, we managed to book seat 48D (based on looking at A380 seat plan and forum, we realised that there's no 47D seat, so there's alots of leg room for 48D, see photo!!). Need to bear that in mind for next time.

With the flight not been full, the seat next to me wasn't allocated, thus we did have alot of spare!! The next best thing was the cup holder (see photo). We need not open the tray to put a cup/ glass of water anymore.
